The Singalangue Story
I taught English to primary school children for the "Education Nationale" in France for many years and I found that working with songs was an easy and most effective aid. Almost every child enjoys the lesson , stays attentive and participates (even the shyest ) ......at the risk of getting a little rowdy if dances are added. In my experience most non - English speaking children are taught classical nursery rhymes like 'hickory dickery dock' to help with the time , or "Old Macdonald" for teaching animal names. These songs are learnt by English speaking children of a much younger age which can be useful culturally but they contain difficult words irrelevant to early language learning. There is no shortage of methods available and I'm not proposing a new one . I am proposing a collection of songs which I wrote with my husband George, who's a professional musician.
The songs are funny, easy to learn (with the help of the instrumental tracks) and are adapted to children of all ages. The tunes are catchy , with very varied musical styles and they stay annoyingly in one's head. In other words " They Work". After the production of the CD.. we wrote and produced an interactive ,educational / hilarious show, which we perform all over France. Tarifs:.......... Click .....Photos
